NDA Application Form Rejected? Check Reasons

NDA (National Defence Academy) is a national level entrance examination, conducted by UPSC twice a year for recruitment in National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. NDA Exam 2017 will be conducted in offline mode. Interested aspirants must fulfill the eligibility criteria, which will be followed by NDA Application form filling. Selection of the candidates will depend on 2 tests i.e. written test and interview round. Those who will clear both will have to appear for medical test.

NDA written test will comprise 2 papers namely Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (600 marks), and the total duration of the exam is 5 hours i.e. 2 hours 30 minutes will be allotted for each paper. Selected candidates will be given 3-year training depending upon the field chosen by them.Total number of vacancies are 390 which includes 208 in case of Army cadets, 55 for Cadet Army Scheme, 72 and 55 in case of Air force and Navy respectively.

Who all can apply for NDA? Whether women are eligible to apply or not?
It is essential to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for NDA. Failure to meet criteria will lead to inability to apply for the exam. Candidates must fulfill the following criteria – The nationality of the candidate applying must be Indian. Also, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan refugee who came in India before January 1, 1962 with the intentions of permanently settling in India. Also, only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. In addition to this, candidate must be physically fit as per the norms of authority because clearing the interview will be followed by medical test.

Primarily, for NDA 1, Candidate must be born in between July 2, 1998 and July 1, 2001, and to be eligible forNDA 2, aspirant must be born in between January 2, 1999 to July 1, 2002. Secondly, Candidate must have passed with Physics and Mathematics (For Air Force/ Naval Wings of National Defence Academy & for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy). Also, Students appearing in 12th or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply, but only for Army wing.

No, women cannot apply for NDA, but only male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA, but he should be unmarried.

What are the queries related to NDA Application Form?

Question1. What are the common reasons for the rejection of NDA Application form and how it can be avoided?

Answer 1. Application form can be rejected on the basis of following reasonsimproper/ unclear uploading of photograph/ signature, swapping of photograph with signatures or vice versa, errors in the submission of application fee, wrong information provided by the application related to educational qualification/ personal information and documents not submitted properly/ all the documents not submitted. So, to avoid such errors candidates must re- check/ preview all the information and avoid uploading unclear/ wrong information in the form.

. What errors can be corrected after the submission of NDA Application Form and how they can be corrected?

Answer 2. Firstly, no errors can be correctly after submission of application form, therefore candidate must avoid any such discrepancy in application form, but in case of errors, such as spelling mistakes can be corrected in the downloaded admit card. But issues related to fees and other important information cannot be changed/ corrected.  Therefore, applicants must take care of them while filling the form. Discrepancy noticed in the e-admit card must be informed in detail on e-mail: – So, the next step would be to email them with your details, incorrect details that you found, corrections as you would want it, and registration ID.

Question 3. What will happen if NDA Application form will get rejected? Also, what if I am no longer interested in appearing for NDA? Will my fee be refunded?

Answer 3.In case of rejection of application form, candidates can appear for the examination in the other cycle i.e. after 6 months. So don’t worry because you just have to wait for 6 more months.
No, your fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. Also, withdrawal of application is also not allowed.

What’s Next after the submission of NDA Application form?

After the submission of application form, Admit card will be generated. Candidates can access NDA Admit card by visiting the official website of UPSC. First step they must do is to check all the information provided in the admit card like name, exam center, course and time, because such issues can be corrected if there will be any such discrepancy.

Admit card can be accessed using registration ID, roll number and candidate’s date of birth, and carrying NDA Admit card is necessary on the examination day, because it will contain all the necessary detail such as name, application number, test center, test date & time, course and category.
